05-04-08 The Fairchild Metro III is here. This aircraft is designed for 2D operation and does not contain a virtual cockpit. 04-05-08 The Alpha Jet has been updated and now has choice of 1 or 2 engines. Also new weapons have been added and the drop tank has been improved. A new livery has also been introduced for Alpha Jet I along with new wing tip tanks. The free update has been distributed today.

03-07-08 The Ultra Mini Bipe E-LSA is here. This aircraft was designed by 3point from the ground up with fast and economical fun in mind. 01-31-08 The SkyShark Next Gen is here. This was a good effort to update the former SkyShark. New is a virtual cockpit, better instrument panels, better aircraft geometry, and more. You can read more by clicking the picture below. This is one of my personal favorites to getting around in X-Plane. Enjoy the flights.
01-22-08 I sense a Navy version coming up next with the new version of the SkyShark. I decided to mount a tail hook and try my luck at some traps. I caught a 4 wire and was off center for my first attempt. I need more practice.
V9 Beta18 is out and I'm happy to say the virtual cockpits are no longer dark and their is much better support for older aircraft. All aircraft from this website in the v8/v9 category should work v9 with no problems. If you happen to notice an issue with an aircraft please email me at sales@3pointaircraft.com.

01-15-08 Feeling the need for some speed? SkyShark NEXT GEN is in the works and should be here in a few weeks. Improvements over the former SkyShark include new refined shaping of the fuselage, virtual cockpit, new instrument panels, new liveries and more. This is one fun jet to get to your favorite destinations. This will be a brand new entry in the v8/v9 aircraft category.
01-09-08 The Gulfstream G550 is here. This aircraft is returning to our inventory today with an all new instrument panel and product support to v9.99. The aircraft is designed to function in 2D viewing mode and does not contain a virtual cockpit. We may or may not at a later time develop a virtual cockpit. Included are 5 liveries to choose from. 06-06-07 Here are 2 early previews of works in progress with an expected delivery of later this month or early next month. Pictured are the Zodiac 601XL and Quicksilver GT400. These are favorites amongst the LSA (Light Sport Aircraft) community.
05-30-07 What's on Tap for June: The Diamond Katana is nearing completion and should be here in a couple weeks or less. We have started a first for 3pointaircraft.com an SE5 biplane. A late June or July delivery is planned. More screen shots and news on the SE5 will be posted on this page as we develop this project.
05-19-07 Quicksilver MX Sport Ultralight is here! This is one of the most popular ultralight aircraft around. Many detail parts and animations are included. This is a complete build outside of Planemaker for accuracy and more detail. You can enjoy the FAR part 103 model or the experimental model with floats. 2 different engines are used. Both aircraft have distinctly different flight models.
05-18-07 Fighter Ultralight Update is completed. You should see the update soon in your inbox. Many parts have been added along with some flight model adjustments. I hope everyone enjoys the new update.
Coming up next will be the Quicksilver Sport. We are excited to bring you another ultralight. There is a real shortage of these fun flyers for X-Plane.
The Katana update is still a work in progress and should arrive in a few weeks.
05-16-07 Formation flying is fun in these light birds. The Quicksilver Sport pictured will be here in a few days. Quite a few requests for ultralight aircraft have been coming in and we are happy to bring them your way. The update for the Fighter should arrive in a few days. We are just finishing up on some things.

03-17-07 Cubcrafters Sport Cub is here! This a new build from the ground up for v8.40 and above. You can find more information by clicking the picture below. The aircraft has been tested in v8.50 and v8.60 as well as v8.40. With the growing popularity of LSA (light sport aircraft) I plan to make more builds in this category.
03-06-07 All aircraft are compatible with v8.60.
The auto pilot functions OK in v8.60. There has been some confusion on how to operate in v8.60 due to some new changes of operation. In case anyone has any questions or concerns on the auto pilot and how to function in X-Plane, you can click the link below for explanations. I was sent the material from the tech support for X-Plane and figured I should share in case it isn't readily available elsewhere.
02-28-07 Compatibility tests for v8.60 are still in progress. Austin has changed the autopilot for this version. According to the home www.x-plane.com the autopilot is a work in progress. The new functions are explained on the front page if you scroll down.
You may want to tune your joystick to feel according to this picture if you use an analog joystick. I have found the feel to be much more realistic with the sliders all the way right as pictured. You can click the picture below for a bigger screen. If you desire more stability you can adjust the sliders on the right column of the screen.
Our X-Plane versions of choice are v8.32, v8.40, and v8.50. It seems flight operation and load times are best for these versions. v8.50 aircraft should fly just fine in v8.40. There are alternate websites that you can download older versions of x-plane (v8.15 and older) if you would like. They are listed at this web page http://www.x-plane.com/demo.html
02-22-07 Compatibility tests will be run in the next couple weeks for v8.60 for all aircraft and scenery enhancements. If you experience any problems in this version of X-Plane please email us at sales@3pointaircraft.com . Many of us are running older versions of X-Plane and we will keep the aircraft in as early version as we can. Most aircraft have been compatible throughout v8 and haven't needed any editing.
The Cessna 310 project will be placed on hold until all aircraft have been tested in the latest version of X-Plane. The Cessna 501 update will be released after it has been tested in v8.60. I should have this update to everyone in a week's time. The project voting will return once again soon. You can send your requests for vote subjects to sales@3pointaircraft.com. 01-26-07 Cessna 337 Turbo Skymaster is here! I received many requests for this aircraft and decided to make the build. This is a unique push/pull airframe. A detailed virtual cockpit and 2D instrument panel are included. You can fly either way in the same aircraft. Many custom instruments are used.
